Alawite secret police are running torture centers across Syria where detainees are beaten with batons and cables, burned with acid, sexually assaulted, and their fingernails torn out.
There are at least 27 detention centers that secret police have been using since the Assad's regime began a crackdown on an uprising that began in March 2011.
Muslims are brutally tortured by Alawites there. The Alawites detain them and make to undress. Then they start squeezing the fingers of the detainees with pliers. They put staples in fingers, chest and ears. The Alawites only allow to take them out if Muslims speak. The staples in the ears are the most painful.
The Alawites use two wires hooked up to a car battery to give Muslims electric shocks. They use electric stun-guns on genitals.
Tens of thousands of Muslims have been detained by the Assad's four main intelligence agencies: Department of Military Intelligence, the Political Security Directorate, the General Intelligence Directorate, and the Air Force Intelligence Directorate.
Each of these four agencies maintains central branches in Damascus as well as regional, city, and local branches across the country. In virtually all of these branches there are detention facilities of varying size.
More than 20 torture methods are used by the Russia's KGB backed Alawite police against Muslims that clearly point to a state policy of torture and ill-treatment and therefore constitute a crime against humanity.
