Freedom fighters shot down murderous Russian-made helicopter in Syria

Publication time: 27 June 2012, 17:35

Fighting has recently inched closer to the Syrian capital. Gunfire and explosions happened in several other suburbs of the capital on Tuesday night.

At least ten Assad's soldiers were killed in an ambush in the eastern province of Deir az-Zour.

Freedom fighters also shot down a murderous Russian-made Alawite helicopter gunship in Idlib province. The helicopter slaughtered peaceful Muslims.

In neighboring Turkey, about 30 more Assad's soldiers defected with their families overnight.

Meanwhile, areas in Idlib province are ruling themselves, without any control from the Alawite regime.

The regime continues to shell and kill but part of the country is liberated.
