Mujahideen attacked enemy in Dagestan's Derbent city: 16 apostates killed and wounded

Publication time: 1 July 2009, 11:07

Units of Dagestan Front of Armed Forces of the Caucasus Emirate on Tuesday night carried out a successful special operation in the town of Derbent, attacking a large gang of apostates from "GOVD (City Department of Internal Affairs)". As a result of attack 16 apostates were eliminated and injured.

According to reports Mujahideen blew up a car at gates to "GOVD" gang.

The attack began around midnight. The base was attacked from automatic rifles, machine guns and grenade launchers. The battle continued for 30 minutes. After 2 hours a powerful explosion occurred near the building.

As it turned out, Mujahideen used a car filled with explosives in the attack.

Apostates claimed civilians among the wounded. Apostates did not explain what these "civilians" were dong at 2 am night, after the fierce gun battle near the gang of "GOVD".

Puppet sources have also claimed that a body was found in the trunk of detonated car. It was suggested that he was a driver of the car, which "may have been hijacked".

Apostates immediately put forward a version saying that driver "refused to drive car to the GOVD and for which he was killed by militants". Puppets as usual do not adduce evidence for their version. Also nothing has been reported on the identity of "killed driver".

We would like to indicate in this regard that the attack in Derbent became virtually the first large-scale operation of Mujahideen in this city. Earlier, the Mujahideen of Southern Dagestan issued a statement in the Internet, giving the oath to the Emir of the Caucasus Emirate Dokka Abu Usman.
