Russian media reported that the death of Russian-speaking film director Bodrov was God's punishment. During the shooting of the movie "War" ("Voina") Bodrov's film crew was staging a combat and set a Muslim cemetery on fire in one of the villages high in the mountains of Upper Balkaria. All vegetation in the cemetery was burned, and gravestones got cracked and turned black.
The following day a messenger from Bodrov came to the Imam of Circassian District and handed him 10 thousand Russian rubles (equals to about 6 US dollars) for restoration of the cemetery and 5 more thousand rubles (8) for the needs of Kashkhatau fire station. In the evening Bodrov paid a personal visit to Imam and asked him for an apology. "To forgive is up to the Most High only!" Imam replied to Bodrov.
When Bodrov's crew ended up under a mudflow in the Karmadon Gorge, the locals of Upper Balkaria said right away: "God's punishment still caught up with him!"
The dead body of the Russian-speaking blasphemer has not been discovered till this day despite the unceasing intense searches.
We would also like to remind our readers that Bodrov was an inveterate enemy of Islam and the Caucasus. In his movie "Brother-2" ("Brat-2") the criminal was inducing the anti-Caucasus hysteria, as well as hatred towards Ukrainians and Americans.
